BLOOD BROTHERS
MARCH ON ELECTRIC CHILDREN
3.1 G Records
Birthed in 1997, this Seattle onslaught has made its mark in musical history redefining musical styles and genres. “March On Electric Children” is their departure from independent record labels making this one of Three One G’s best sellers to date. Produced by Ross Robinson, this album is a self described short story set to music. Members went on to take part in acts such as Neon Blonde and Three One G’s Head Wound City.

MOSS ICON
LYBURNUM
Vermiform Records
Moss Icon existed in the late 80's and the early 90's. Moss Icon featured Tonie Joy from BORN AGAINST, UNIVERSAL ORDER OF ARMAGEDDON, THE GREAT UNRAVELING and THE CONVOCATION OF. This cd includes four extra tracks. Essential post hardcore/emo for fans of emo before emo became bad indie/boy rock

DEAD KENNEDYS
BEDTIME FOR DEMOCRACY

SNOWDEN
ANTI - ANTI
Stickfigure
Atlanta's Snowden drown their brand of melodies in a sea of reverb-heavy distortion and hypnotic layers. This, their debut for Jade Tree, integrates the ethereal guitar resonance and dynamic percussion reminiscent of bands like Ride, New Order, and early Cure, with the volatility of contemporaries such as The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. An unpredictable mix of dirty pop soundscapes. If post-shoegaze exists as a genre, then Snowden is proving their contention for the upper ranks.

ARIEL KILL HIM
NAMED AFTER YOU
Kasual Recordings
Ariel Kill Him is the work of 25-year-old David Lehnberg from Gävle, Sweden. With Named After You, his fourth album, he take this project yet another step forward. Even though this album has a more electronic sound than its forerunners, David, who also produced the album, points out that the songs are more organic and stripped down this time.

THE (INTERNATIONAL) NOISE CONSPIRACY
LIVE AT OSLO JAZZ FESTIVAL
Alternative Tentacles
Originally released by Swedish jazz imprint Moserobie in 2003, this live album features a special one-time performance of Swedish political punk band The (International) Noise Conspiracy in collaboration with noted jazz musicians Jonas Kullhammar and Sven-Erik Dahlberg. Live in Oslo features songs from T(I)NC«s first two albums on Epitaph, Survival Sickness and A New Morning, Changing Weather, transformed into more dreamy arrangements. While retaining the T(I)NC-ness of the original material, the band with their guest musicians improvise freely for some spaced-out jams. The fact that Dahlberg and Kullhammar, a five-time Swedish Grammy nominee, are accomplished jazz musicians is an icing on the cake of this surprise party. Reminiscent of political Dutch band The Ex's collaboration with avant garde cellist Tom Cora in the early 1990s, Live in Oslo demonstrates T(I)NC's willingness to take risks and collaborate with musicians practicing different genres to expand their sound successfully. Live in Oslo has never been available commercially in North America and is highly sought after by the bands large fanbase, making this the missing album in T(I)NC's catalog. Alternative Tentacles is proud to bring this album stateside, revealing a whole new facet to a familiar band with an established sound.

MARITIME
GLASS FLOOR
Desoto Records
Becoming increasingly bored with exploratory facial hair configurations and fantasy baseball, Davey von Bohlen and Dan Didier of The Promise Ring called their old friend Eric Axelson, late of the fabled Dismemberment Plan, to see if he was busy. He wasn't.A few short months later, the lads, at the time called In English, found themselves signed (in real ink) to a West Coast rock-and-roll concern that fronted them decent enough cash to hire a real producer (J. Robbins) and record in a decent studio. Their songs, a gorgeous calliope of acoustic twang and horns-and-keys pop, failed to impress the label. Sometimes damn good just isn't good enough for some folks. With a record in the can and no one to put it out, the boys changed their name to Maritime and gave us a call. Our long winter's nap ended, we thought, "why not," and swayed the boys to let us release the marvelous Glass Floor.

HAMMERHEAD
STAY WHERE THE PEPPER GROWS
X-mist
Re-release of german Hardcore-Punk CLASSIC from 1994! 13 years after its initial release in 1994, the debut-album by the german HAMMERHEAD is available again!!! This record surely was one of the most important german Hardcore-releases of the 90s, having been on top of ZAP magazines readers-poll for one year! A non-compromising, brutal, US-influenced Hardcore-sound combined with equally-minded (mostly german) lyrics! The booklet was refused by most printers for its content, which some people interpreted as "hurting the dignity of mankind". Nonetheless the album was sold-out in a short period, and the 2nd pressing, two years later on MUFF POTTER's label, sold out in less than a year as well. So now this legendary piece of german Hardcore/Punk history is finally available again for the first time in more than 10 years! Remastered (not remixed!) for a better sound by Guido Lucas and Thilo Schenk at BLUBOX studio. LP released by X-MIST once again, with the same huge-sized booklet and cover, containing the same obnoxious and controversial artwork as with the original.

NUMBERS
NOW YOU'RE THIS
Kill Rock Stars
The newest album by the NUMBERS - now also available as a heavy vinyl double-12" (released in the UK)! Reverbing synthesizers, insistent drumming and clear vocals mixed into a dark vision of post-modern pop-music. Think of something like KRAFTWERK filtered thru’ the roughness of SUICIDE, and with an additional subtle pop-sensibility. Maximum minimalism! The NUMBERS themselves see this album as the final transformation of their new sound – and actually it turned out to be a dozen times better than their previous “We’re Animals” album!

THE OBSERVERS
WALK ALONE
La vida es un mus
Finally out after a couple years waiting THE OBSERVERS Walk alone 7" repress finally sees the light of the day! The A-side track is driving, intense, brooding, melodic and wholly unique while the 2 songs on the B side are a perfect example of timeless catchy yet moody punk rock. The recording and production is raw but that just adds to the tension and intensity. It's somewhere between THE WIPERS, NEWTOWN NEUROTICS and THE ADVERTS. MINUS THE BEAR
PLANET OF ICE
Cydonia Records
For the past six years, Seattle’s Minus the Bear have orbited the music world like a distant meteor, fine-tuning their brand of indie rock and discovering how technology can help enhance the band’s unique pop vision – all of which is about to culminate with their latest full-length Planet of Ice, an album showing the band not so much transforming their sound as transcending it.

SIX PARTS SEVEN
CASUALLY SMASHED TO PIECES
Cydonia Records
However, maybe you should be slightly afraid of the contents embedded on the disc lurking beneath our Nordic friend. See, Casually Smashed To Pieces isn’t your typical “album.” No, Kent, Ohio’s Six Parts Seven haven’t so much redefined their sound as they’ve transcended it here, bringing in new sonic elements, textures and feelings to weave a tapestry as sprawling as the Himalayas. In other words, forget what you think the disc sounds like – because, chances are, you’re wrong.

RADIO 4
THE NEW SONGS AND DANCE
Gern Blandsten
RADIO 4 takes their cues from the late '70s early '80s post punk scene (AU PAIRS, GANG OF FOUR, MISSION OF BURMA, THE CURE) and combines it with a modern dose of inspiration and style. The music is edgy, melodic and danceable all at once. Their album was produced by Tim O'Heir (SEBADOH, BUFFALO TOM, J. MASCIS). RESTOCK!!!

ZAO
LESSER LIGHT OF HEAVEN
Ferret Records
In their 10+ years of existence, one could say that ZAO has definitely had enough highs and lows to make for a great documentary. Now with over 200,000 records sold over their career, that time has finally come as Ferret releases the band's (and the label's) first ever DVD, "The Lesser Lights Of Heaven". This 2-disc, 6-hour DVD, is directed by Alternative Press writer and longtime friend and manager Ryan J. Downey. It captures the band from their beginnings in Greensburg, PA, and follows them as they crossover their faith-based hardcore music to the masses. ZAO tells their story in their own words in a revealing full-length documentary. It including interviews with several ex-members, A&R folks, producers and friends and a multitude of footage shot over the years by professionals and fans. This release also has, not one, but three full-length concerts, including: a full live set from this summer's Strhess Tour shot in San Diego, California; a full live set from January's Praise The War Machinetour shot in Pomona, California; and over a dozen songs from various eras. Each show is shot with multiple camera angles with sound captured from the board. In addition, there is live footage from over the years, including the infamous show where the band broke up onstage, as well as Cornerstone and Warped tour footage capturing the band in front of tens of thousands of people. The band also takes you on a tour of their hometown of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, including the parking lot of the nearby shopping mall where George A. Romero filmed Dawn Of The Dead. ZAO is wrapping up the most successful year in their history with their best album sales ever; huge tours with Unearth, Bleeding Through and Warped Tour; and an overall energy putting them in a class of their own.

SLEEPING PEOPLE
GROWING
Temporary Residence
Growing advances Sleeping People as a band in every way. It's faster, more aggressive, more thoughtful and more dynamic than their debut. Engineered by Ben Moore (Hot Snakes, The Black Heart Procession), the songs are pushed to extremes, sparking an addictive adrenaline high that is ultimately eased by Rob Crow's surprise appearance at the conclusion of the album, his saccharine vocals providing a perfect, blissful freefall. Growing is Sleeping People at their most inspired. It is a document of a sometimes frantic, always fearless band who sounds best when they're only pretending to be in control. Like the band itself, Growing embraces change with an improvisational flair that is both confounding and consuming.
